Once again, we will publish the Bay area’s most vital source for information about local nonprofit organizations and their events. Authorized representatives of qualified charities and nonprofit groups are invited to submit information for publication.

LISTINGS: Each organization selected for inclusion will receive a complimentary listing in our “Directory” section, describing the organization’s mission and its contact information, and will have its major fundraising events included in our “Calendar” section.

WHAT IS A “MAJOR EVENT”? We want the dates, locations and descriptions of significant social gatherings — such as black-tie galas, formal dinners and cocktail parties — for the purpose of fundraising. Similar events may include celebrity golf tournaments, fashion shows and guest-speaker luncheons. We will consider all events for inclusion but reserve the right to exclude some.

DATES: The Charity Register deals with events to be held between November 1, 2009, and October 31, 2010. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS.

DEADLINES: Submissions are due NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, JULY 17, 2009. Forms not submitted by the deadline will not be considered for inclusion.

SELECTION PROCESS: We select organizations for inclusion based on certain criteria including, but not limited to, their history and how their funds are used. We reserve the right to reject any submission for any reason. We reserve the right to edit submissions for any reason. We are not responsible for incorrect or outdated information submitted by an organization.
